Project VERT: The Final Stretch

VERT is a potential collaboration between Youth Movement Records and Hood Games. VERT is up to win a $25k grant from Pepsi in order to create a skate & multimedia arts events series for the youth in Oakland. We hope that these events can help position us to find a long-term venue for young people to engage in fun, safe, activities when not in school. We envision our big goal as an indoor skate park and performance venue that caters to the youth in the Bay that are consistently left out of music and places to hang out because they haven't reached the age of 21. MOVIE: Death at a Funeral (April 16, 2010 Release)

The movie "Death at a Funeral" starring Chris Rock, Martin Lawrence, Luke Wilson, James Mardsen, Regina Hall, Columbus Short, Kevin Hart, Tracy Morgan, Zoe Saldana, and Danny Glover is the American remake of the original British film with a comedic spin. The family comes together for the mourning of Aaron (Chris Rock) and Ryan's (Martin Lawrence) father but when they get to the funeral, the body in the coffin is not that of their father. At the same time, they are being blackmailed by their father's homosexual dwarf lover when everything is already in disarray. In theaters April 16th.

Apply to GRAMMY Camp by March 31st!

GRAMMY Camp offers students the opportunity to work with GRAMMY-winning and -nominated professionals and industry specialists affiliated with The Recording Academy over a number of music industry career tracks. Over the past three years, approximately 70 percent of campers who applied for financial aid received assistance to this immersive, interactive and highly collaborative residential summer music camp. GRAMMY Camp is sponsored in part by Converse and Epiphone.

The final application deadline is March 31, 2010, and interested students can apply at www.grammyintheschools.com, and for the first time applicants can submit their video essay and audition videos online at www.mystudio.net.
